Short Story

imageExiting the plane that soared her to where she belonged. She was in a black car in a busy city, driving down streets her eyes have never been exposed to. All he desired was her, and it was beautiful. Life-long dreams ended; regardless of the years the two of them had to ponder. This is a reality now.

“Where have you been my entire life?”

But she would never ask him, for she was so scared with smiles; to experience the beginning, of what could be the rest of her life.

He had hands that doubled hers in size, and arms that cradled her to life, she thinks “This is what I’ve been waiting for, finally I feel alive.”

She was broken, weak, and tired of loving and failing. How did he make it so easy?

He touches her face, and she feels she can fly.

Sitting 5 feet from her- but they both have to remain seated, the urge to feel your skin is so compelling.

“There you are, I’ve been looking for you.”
